Terms and conditions
Version 17 October 2026
These terms apply to everyone who uses YessFish: the website yessfish.com and the YessFish apps. We have written them as clearly as possible. Got a question? Email info@yessfish.com.
1. Who we are
YessFish is a trade name of Sbuilder V.O.F., Verlaatseweg 22, 8331 PD Steenwijk, the Netherlands. Chamber of Commerce (KvK) 97960535, VAT NL005033849B16. Email info@yessfish.com, phone +31 85 060 0521.
In these terms, "YessFish", "we" and "us" mean Sbuilder V.O.F. "You" means the person using YessFish. The "platform" is the website and the apps together. "Bobbers" are the digital credit within YessFish (see article 6).
2. When these terms apply
These terms apply to the use of the platform and to buying bobbers. Our community guidelines and our privacy statement are part of them.
If you buy bobbers in the app, the terms of Google Play or the App Store also apply to the payment.
Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under the law.
3. Your account
Creating an account is free. Enter real details, use one account per person and keep your password secret. What happens with your account is your own responsibility; if you notice someone else is using your account, let us know right away.
If you are under 16 and enter your date of birth, your account is automatically placed in a safe youth mode: your profile is only visible to friends and your location is not shared. Parents can keep an eye on things via parental supervision.
You can delete your account yourself at any time via Settings. Your data, photos and messages are then deleted as described in the privacy statement. Depth soundings and photos of waters are shared knowledge about the water; they are kept, but without your name.
4. Using the platform and code of conduct
YessFish is a community for anglers. You follow the community guidelines: treat each other with respect, no hate, bullying, threats, nudity, spam or scams, and no poaching or illegal fishing, not on camera and not as a tip either.
What you post (catches, catch photos, messages, comments) remains yours. You allow us to show it on the platform free of charge, according to the visibility you choose yourself, for as long as it is online. Only post photos and texts you made yourself or are allowed to use, and do not share other people’s details without their permission.
Private messages are private: we do not read along. If you come across something that is not allowed, use the report button. A moderator will review the report.
If you break the community guidelines or the law, we may remove content, warn you or block your account temporarily or permanently. We choose a measure that fits the breach and tell you why, unless that is not possible or not allowed. If you disagree, email info@yessfish.com and we will look at it again.
Answers from the AI fishing assistant, the AI water analysis and the fish species recognition are generated automatically by artificial intelligence. They may contain mistakes.
5. Free basics
The basics of YessFish are free: your catch log, the fishing map with your spots, the fishing weather, the community and the directory. Every day you can ask the AI fishing assistant one free question. For some extras you use bobbers.
We update the platform regularly. We do our best to keep YessFish available at all times, but maintenance or outages may sometimes interrupt it.
6. Bobbers
Bobbers are a digital credit that you only use within YessFish. You earn them for free by taking part (for example linking a public catch to a water, sharing on the feed or contributing depth soundings) and you can buy them in packages. How many you earn per activity and which daily limits apply is shown on the Bobbers page.
You use bobbers for extras: an extra question to the AI fishing assistant, an AI water analysis, unlocking or updating the depth layer of a water, the current layer on the map (for a fixed number of days) and keeping your own depth import private. What something costs is shown on the pricing page and in the app next to the feature itself.
Bobbers have no monetary value. You cannot exchange them for money or transfer them to another member. You can, however, voluntarily donate them to YessFish.
Bobbers do not expire as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, your bobbers lapse.
If a feature you used bobbers for fails (for example an AI water analysis), you automatically get those bobbers back.
Bobbers earned for free through abuse, for example with fake catches, may be deducted again. We never deduct purchased bobbers.
We may change package prices and the number of bobbers a feature costs. This only applies to the future: what you have already bought or unlocked, you keep.
7. Buying bobbers and paying
On the website you buy bobbers after logging in on the Bobbers page. You pay through our payment provider Mollie, using the payment methods shown at checkout (such as iDEAL). Prices are in euros and include VAT.
The purchase is concluded as soon as you complete the payment. The bobbers are on your account right after that and you receive a confirmation by email.
In the app you buy bobbers via Google Play (Android) or the App Store (iPhone). You then pay Google or Apple, and their terms apply to the payment and any refund. The store shows the price in your country.
Your payment details are processed by Mollie, Google or Apple; we do not see your bank or card details.
8. Right of withdrawal (cooling-off period)
When you buy online, as a consumer you normally have a 14-day cooling-off period. Bobbers are digital content that we deliver immediately after your payment.
That is why, before you pay, we expressly ask for your consent to that immediate delivery, and you declare that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal. You confirm this with a tick box; without that tick you cannot check out on the website. The confirmation email states that you gave this consent. Only then does your right of withdrawal lapse once the bobbers are on your account (article 6:230p(g) of the Dutch Civil Code).
Your statutory rights always remain: if you do not receive the bobbers or a paid feature does not work as described, we will fix it or refund your money. Please contact us for this.
For purchases in the app, the refund policy of Google Play or the App Store applies; you request a refund there. If that does not work, please contact us.
9. Information about waters, rules and permits
On YessFish you find information about waters, fishing rules, permits, closed seasons, depth, currents, weather and bite chances. This information comes from various sources, such as authorities, federations, clubs, open data and members. We compile it with care, but we cannot guarantee that it is always correct, complete and up to date.
You remain responsible yourself for having a valid permit and for following the rules on site. If in doubt, check the official source or ask the permit issuer. Also take care of your own safety at the water: depth maps and weather forecasts are an aid, not a guarantee.
What members post is their own responsibility. If you see something that is not right, report it; we will correct it where needed.
10. Liability
We are not liable for damage resulting from your reliance on information on the platform, or from the platform being temporarily unavailable, unless the damage was caused by our intent or gross negligence.
This limitation does not apply to your statutory rights as a consumer, for example if something you bought from us does not work properly.
11. Complaints
Do you have a complaint, for example about a purchase or a measure against your account? Email info@yessfish.com or call +31 85 060 0521. Tell us what happened; you do not have to prove anything to file a complaint. We respond within 14 days.
If we cannot resolve it together, you can turn to the competent court.
12. Privacy
How we handle your data is explained in our privacy statement.
13. Changes
We may change these terms, for example when we add new features or the law changes. We announce important changes in advance via the platform or by email. If you do not agree, you can delete your account. Changes never apply retroactively to purchases you have already made.
14. Applicable law
These terms are governed by Dutch law. If you live in another country of the European Union, you keep the protection that the consumer law of your own country gives you, and you can also go to the court where you live.
